Dinner at Girl and The Goat - West Loop

  • Mar 23, 2014 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

This is place needs no introduction for some. It is one of the most talked about places in the city of Chicago and has been featured on Top Chef. I managed to score a Sunday evening reservation.

 Menu:

  http://m.girlandthegoat.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.girlandthegoat.com%2F#2997

Reservations:

We are being seated at 6:00p. I set the start time at 5:30p to ensure everyone is there prior to our seating time.

Location/ Travel:

I know! It is in the city and a little hike from the burbs. But here is the good news. It is located at Randolph and Halsted which is 5 blocks from the Green Line - Morgan Street stop, so you do not have to make the drive down if you do not want to. If you are up for the drive, valet parking is only $11. If you decide to drive and have room in your car, post a comment. I will have room for 2 people if anyone wants to catch a ride.

It was a wonderful evening with a wonderful group of foodies!!!! We shared 13 dishes and five desserts. Let see we had fried pickles, roasted cauliflower, roasted beets, sauteed green beans, escargot ravioli, duck tongues, sugo, hamachi crudo, diver scallops, wood oven roasted pig face, lamb ribs, crisp braised pork shank, goat empanadas, plantain cake, sticky date cake, miso-butterscotch budino. There were two more desserts but I can't remember them. We were treated to a 10 lbs. Goat leg by Trina and Anne, thank you so much, the goat leg was very tasty!!! Thanks you Trina for hosting this wonderful event, I had a wonderful time and enjoy sharing all the food with everyone at the table.

I have received several emails and requests regarding space for this dinner. Unfortunately, this restaurant is very popular and we cannot expand the size without changing the date.

If you are no longer able to make it, update your rsvp as to allow room for others who may be interested.
