Happy St. Paddy's Day! (a few days early) in White Plains

Since last year was so much fun, we're gonna do it again.. Lets celebrate St. Paddy's Day in White Plains on Saturday March 9th.

Let's meet in front of the Brazen Fox on Mamaroneck Avenue at 12:00, to watch the parade and cheer on the bands and men in skirts strutting their stuff at the 16th annual White Plains St. Patrick's Day Parade. After the parade, we'll duck into the Brazen Fox for some Corned Beef & Cabbage, or Fish n Chips, or just a few pints and some Shepherd's Pie! Please indicate whether you're joining us for the parade, or lunch or both in your rsvp comments..

Yes I know this is early, but I wanted to get this on your calendar...

We all look forward to the 16th Annual St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday, March 9, 2013! The White Plains Parade, like so many across the County and across the World, celebrates the contributions of the Irish people to humankind through their rich culture and music, their indomitable courage and spirit, and their legendary warmth and humor.

The White Plains Parade has grown exponentially, and last year had Five Divisions, with over 26 musical performances, five floats, and 90 groups participating. This year we expect the Parade to be even larger and we welcome new participants, so join the Parade Route as part of a group or as a spectator.

Of course, the celebration continues in White Plains after the Parade with the Cultural Tour that provides an opportunity to visit many White Plains venues for as much corned beef and cabbage as you can eat, other food and drink, and lots of Irish Music and Dance.

So, mark your calendars now, and come join the best St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Westchester County, with a celebration like none other.

I will try to get a reservation (we did get one last year) for us to all sit together, but it will be VERY CROWDED - so be prepared that this may not happen..*(meaning we may sit grouped at different tables). This whole day in White Plains can be a lot of fun - folks are usually in a great mood, and hopefully we'll have the beautiful and warm weather that we had the first year (it was in the 70s!) so we can do a pub crawl down Mamaroneck Avenue to all the other pubs in town as well. We surely have earned some good warm weather after the winter we've been having!! So let's hope for good sunny skies and warm(er) temps!

I"ll send 'round my cell phone number as we get closer to the event so folks can call to coordinate meeting up.

check out the Brazen Fox website: http://www.thebrazenf...

Don't forget to wear your GREEN!!! :)

Cheers!

Super, fun day! I had a terrific time at the parade with old friends, met new ones, and had the BEST corned beef and cabbage I've ever eaten: lean, non-greasy and delectable. And Craig's french fries were especially yummy when they weren't soaked in spilled Killians. Thanks for another wonderful, delicious afternoon, Terry.

Count me IN. I'm half Irish and look forward to bringing my Czechoslovakian half with me. Even though most Irish ate only colcannon (a combination of cabbage and potatoes), I will be happy to endulge in corned beef & cabbage, a pint of Guinness. Mmmm
