Let's do dinner and Drinks at Mambo 64 in Tuckahoe!

Let's check out this hot new Latin place in Tuckahoe, called Mambo 64  -- Latin American and Carribean small plates and tapas restaurant on Sunday July 7th starting at 5pm. They have been only open a month, but are getting rave reviews!

Mambo 64 is a vibrant new addition to the culinary and bar scene in Tuckahoe, NY, that offers a fresh twist of Latin fusion cuisine from more than a dozen countries. Our sumptuous menu and cocktails reflect the richness and variety of Latin America and the Caribbean. From the updated classics to innovative and modern fare – there is a favorite for everyone. Mambo 64’s small—and larger— plates, paired with colorful drinks, cocktails and sangrias, offer diners a tantalizing and festive dining experience.

With a sumptuous menu and cocktails that reflect the tastes and delights of Latin America and the Caribbean, Chef Arlen Gargagliano offers updated classics and innovated modern fusion dishes which capture the flavors of Brazil, Peru, Spain, Colombia, Cuba, Argentina, Chile, Belize, Mexico and Venezuela.

Chef Gargagliano¹s menu gives diners a tantalizing and exotic flavor fest  -- ‹no passport required!

Here's a review from a recent diner: "Great intimate, cozy vibe. Owner Arlen is fantastic and quite hospitable. She has written few books on tapas and cocktails. The interior designing is quite artistic which adds a new color to this latino setting.  The tapas are fantastic. Try shredded pork tacos, chicken skewers, carnitas. Flan for dessert is awesome and so is brownies with vanilla ice cream. Most importantly it is the customer service and great friendly atmosphere that is a top notch! I waited for 3 visits to give a honest review and I am so glad our little town has this gem."

Another writes: "Outstanding service and professional and well-mannered waiters/waitresses. Very friendly staff!  Touches of multicultural uniqueness everywhere that flavored the ambiance with a tangible and quaint magic. The menu is unique and exotic and captures the palatal and cultural flavors of all Hispanic, Brazilian, and Spanish cultures, with its own original touch and personalized recipes. Mambo 64 brings the dining experience to a new dimension through passion and originality. In an era in which we still often live in our own self-imposed segregation (Mexican, Cuban, Brazilian, Colombian, Peruvian, etc.) Mambo 64 has managed to blend the zest of all Caribbean and Hispanic cultures through food--a form of art in itself. This restaurant will be a huge success. I encourage everyone to go there. It will be a wonderful experience. Their originality left me in awe! Even the way they deliver the check is a unique experience in itself, but I will not give everything away.  Very affordable prices and great happy hours!  A+"

And one more says: "What a wonderful addition to Main St!  A quaint Latin restaurant with a NYC vibe.  All the tapas we tried were scrumptious and served by a friendly, welcoming staff. The owner was there and welcomed us with a warm smile, her passion for flavorful cuisine shined through. My new favorite restaurant when I'm in the mood for yummy mixed drinks (the mojitos were delicious), Latin cuisine and a great vibe. The brownies topped the meal off perfectly. Can't wait to dine there again!!! A must go!"

So I made a reservation for 10  at 5pm.  Please arrive promptly, we will be seated at 5:30..  I will not require a paypal rsvp since this is such short notice, .. but if your plans change, please update your rsvp and/or email to let me know you can't make it!!

Seems that this place is behind Villagio Pizza, there is a parking lot nearby, next to the yoga studio..

See you there!
