Pizzaria Marzano 5/12/10 7:30

Scott's idea for dinner was quite popular, so here we go! Join us on May 12th at
Pizzaria Marzano, a true traditional Neoplitan Pizzaria in Torrington CT. Wood burning ovens, fresh mozz cheese, San Marzano crushed tomato sauce, beer and wine (the second glass is only a nickle). Trust me folks this extablishment has been written up as one of the
best new pizza joints in CT!

PLEASE NOTE THE MEETUP TIME IS 7:30pm (Though I may be there by 7:00)

This Meetup is Hosted by Scott - his first as a host!

Some Ethnic Dining "Rules": 1) If you RSVP "YES" you are expected to SHOW UP!!! Be polite and make sure you change your RSVP by 6:00pm the previous day if need be. If you have to cancel or want to add yourself at the last minute call the restaurant.

2) Please bring cash, it is so much quicker and easier. Remember, no one leaves until the bill is paid - this is respect for the event's host and the other diners. 3) I will collect $1.00 from each participant for Meetup fees.

We're going to enjoy this one! - Betsy

Of course I am bias since I work PT at this unique establishment. Having spent 40 years making pizza either FT or PT you would think by now pizza is all the same-not the case here. I could eat their pizza 7 days a week. They cease to amaze me, the consistancy, always fresh, no short cuts and cooked to perfection.

Heck and the second beer for only a nickle!

The company was outstanding and served as a great foundation to an enjoyable evening.

Exceptional ingredients make an exceptional pie cooked right. These folks have an extremely good product which distinguishes itself from New Haven or New York in its uniqueness. This pie is direct from the mother country. Couldn't asked for more!

Beer (8 tap beers to choose from), wine (red, white) and your second glass is only a nickle! (Buy one get the second for a nickle). Pizza, calzones, salads and antipasta dishes. Credit cards and cash accepted. Order at counter, food is brought to your table. 2 outside tables-no wine or beer allowed outside just yet-they are building a patio for outside seating!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
