More dancing at the Valencia

Join Your Single Friends at the Valencia Ballroom, York, this Sunday, April 21th

Headliner Band Will Delight Us with Their Musical Talent

Mix and mingle with 200 attractive singles and get yourself some healthful aerobic exercise, all at one place and at the same time, on the Valencia's fabulous spring-loaded floating wooden dance floor, from 7 to 10:30 p.m.

Headliner Band will be ready to entertain you and provide a variety of your favorite dance songs. and keep you energized. They perform the high energy songs with gusto while still providing the romantic slow songs that are essential to our special singles dance format.

As is the case for all of our dances, the doors will open at 6:40 and the dance will start at 7:00 p.m. and go until 10:30 p.m.  There are no reserved seats and no one is allowed into the ballroom until they have purchased a name tag after 6:40. Admission is only $10.00.  Where else can you find this kind of entertainment in this quality of ballroom at such a low price?

Based on our research, our dance may well be the best attended weekly singles dance in the world.  Our dance is unique in its format.  We provide the popular Paul Jones mixer dance three times each evening, a great ice-breaker that enables you to meet other singlesin a non-threatening environment. We provide many slow dances to afford the opportunity to converse with your partner while dancing. We have ladies' choice dances during the evening. We also have a dress code, best described as dressy-casual, and we hold the dances in the best-available ballrooms. No one else offers you what our dance offers, on a continuing basis, at price that we do.

Dance Lessons Start Tonight ... Learn the Hustle

According to present plans, Ian will conduct lessons on the "Hustle" for the first couple of weeks of April, to be followed with lessons on the "Rumba" and the "Cha Cha" in subsequent weeks.   The lessons will be provided free of charge, but Ian will accept tips.  A tip of $3 to $5 is suggested for those who like the lesson.

Singles who want to take the lessons should arrive at the Valencia at 6:35 p.m. at which time the regular $10.00 admission will be collected from those who desire to take the dance.  Admission must be paid and a name tag obtained before your enter the ballroom.

I am a little confused. Is this the dining out meet up group that wont be eating out for this event? I would love to attend cause I do love dancing also but I would like to know if I need to have dinner before hand or not.

We have NOT been getting together for dinner as of yet. But that is a good suggestion!

Hi, I'm interested in going, but confused by the description...it says April 21 at the top, and then the description says April 7th? I'm new to Meet-up, so please be patient and explain, thanks :)

This dance occurs on a regular basis. There was a dance on April 7, but there is also one on April 21.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
