"I've been interested in philosophy of various kinds since childhood, and while my views and style have changed radically a few times, my interest has remained..."
"I'm a professor of philosophy at the City University of New York. Grew up in Rome, Italy, and have moved to the States in 1990. I am a New Yorker since 2006."
Meet locals intrigued by philosophy and its impact on our understanding of life, the universe and everything! The usual format is a dinner at a restaurant in the city, with a limited number of people to enjoy conversation and intellectual give and take. The idea is that good conversation requires small crowds, and is helped by good food and wine, just like in the original Symposium by Plato. No technical background in philosophy required, just a love of wisdom! The Dinner and Philosophy meetup is a member of the Reasonable New York coalition.
