Run the Lower Sweetwater from Steel bridge

We run the Sweetwater Res.....and try not to step on any damn Brine Shrimp http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brine_shrimp

They are wanting to close this trail to preserve these little fellas!

The run calls for 12-16 miles so bring your backpacks.  I'll be in NYC for the weekend running in some snow but Coach Riley will be out there with ya.  See ya next week!

A great trail course, along with a supportive and motivating group of runners.

Does anyone want to carpool form the Clairemont area?

So the trail is still open? Signs said it was closing Jan-Feb for maintenance

Hi Tina, was it this sign? [http://photos2.meetup...] because we ran there last on Dec 22nd and this is all we saw. It's just a notice that the trail will be closed but not an actual "the trail is closed" notice"

Hey Sean. That sign is still up. But like I said before, you can always run on the other side of the street by the water towers!

I did a few miles back there last week and only saw a few signs nothing was closed. Plus, if you want you can always run a few loops on the other side of the street by the water towers. Tomorrow morning I'll run from the Steele Bridge to the horse gate and let you know if anyone shoots at me!

That should do it...I don't recall seeing any signs between horse gate and the Bonita park side. Lat time we did see it was blocked off on the Bonita side near the park, but you can still get a 13 mile out & back.

Do you also do Sunday morning runs like this one? I usually have to work Saturday mornings. I would be free on the 18th, though. So, I'll keep my eyes open for that day. :)

Addition is dangerous... you may need a 12-step program...

Haha... let me know. I would like to run with you guys on Sundays. So far, I have run with a friend Sunday morning. Last Sunday it was 10 miles Mission Trails. Don't just make Big Boy runs, though! :P
