Run the 2nd Half of the PCT 50...

Come out and run the "back" portion of the PCT 50. Also the "downhill" portion. We are trying to organize a point-to-point route to be able to cover more of the course. Meet at Pioneer Mail and we are running to Boulder Oaks. (25-30mi). We are trying to get a head count of how many people are interested in attending so we can space cars out at either Pioneer Mail or Boulder Oaks (or in between if someone wants to run less and maybe store water for us :D). Once we get a tally of who wants to attend we can talk about how we are going to space things out, So we can run down and be able to get rides back up. :D

Thanks for putting this together. It was a nice easy run with a great group of people. Minus the wind, the weather was perfect.

Someday, I may be able to say a 27 mile run is "easy"... you peeps are crazy! It was a nice run, indeed. Thanks Doc and Riley for the support!

Since I wasn't able to go today, I'll be running long on the PCT tomorrow morning if anyone is interested. Out-and-back so you can do as many (or as few) miles as you want. Probably start at the "bottom" of the course.

Vic (Hippie) & I will be there. We'll have two cars.. one car at the beginning; one at the end. I gotta run 28 but Vic is still a little injured and may not make the entire distance or may have to run around. We can taxi people either way if that helps. Just let us know what's up. Thx

Karen, since you want to go long (and you will have Vic there to drive you to pioneer mail. Could you drop one of the cars at boulder oaks? Then Vic can drive you up to the meetup at Pioneer Mail? -Riley

Sure. That's what we were planning. We'll park one vehicle at Boulder Oaks (first), then pickup Tomo (if he plans on parking there), then we'll drive to Pioneer Mail to meet with the group. Tomo: let us know if this works for you. Riley: can you give us the location for where we would leave a vehicle/pickup Tomo)? Is it near the campground on Buckman Springs Road?

Riley and Doc, what's the plan for aid stations? I'm happy to park my truck anywhere - just need a ride to the start from there!

I am planning on going, but I am sorry I have a mini, which is not great in the carpool department! Please let me know the plans. For now, I will drive to Pioneer Mail (I have no idea where this is . . . !)

I'm supposed to run 22 for training and I'm not too sure I'd last much more than that. Is that a possibility?

I'd love to! I can do an aid station. I can leave back of my truck unlocked so we can leave water etc.
