So you may have seen it lurking on the store shelves, heard it piping from the tinny speakers of every business establishment in time, but all of creation seems set to remind us that, yes, it’s Christmas time. That time of year people run rampant over our city’s retail outlets and spend too much money on things their family members don’t want. Yes, we are dreading it too. So, let’s get together to celebrate how much Christmas can suck, while dancing to songs about wishing our lovers would please come home, being alone on Christmas Day, wishing that George Michael would give his heart to someone who wouldn’t give it away, and whether or not people even know it’s Christmas with all the folks who are suffering all around the planet.
Where were we? Ah:
- The first 10 people in the door will receive stockings full of coal
- We’ll dress like sad, sad seasonal icons, and we’ll give the best costume a prize
- We’ll indulge in some seasonal fruitcake
- We’ll dance to our favorite songs that are about being miserable at Christmas, or not about Christmas at all
Where to meet: The DJs Brian and Naeem will be at the DJ booth at 10:45. Come say hi!
