I haven't seen Roman Polanski's film Chinatown in decades and now that it's back on the big screen, there's no time like the present.
Roman Polanski turned out to be the perfect director to bring Robert Towne's Oscar-winning screenplay to the big screen. A bizarre, fascinating mystery in the tradition of Hammet and Chandler, this noir tale set in the water-starved Los Angeles of the 1930s features Jack Nicholson as the private eye led into a complex, volatile case by femme fatale Faye Dunaway. Polanski himself makes a cameo appearance and John Huston haunts the mystery with his sinister presence. Top-notch art direction, editing, casting and photography combine for an unforgettable drama.
IMDB describes it as: A private detective investigating an adultery case stumbles on to a scheme of murder that has something to do with water.
But more telling is that it rates an 8.4/10 from over 130K users!
Make sure you choose the 2PM showing on Saturday, 4/27/13.
HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE
