I hope your week is going well. We have a few tours this weekend to the Lummis house and beyond. Here's a write-up from Los Angeles Magazine about it but it also gives you times/suggestions as to when you might be able to see these things if you are busy this weekend or couldn't snag a ticket. All but the first tour are sold out. Check out the stained glass factory link. Beautiful stuff.
Also, 3 of us are getting tickets for the LA Opera[masked] season. We're getting the cheap seats all the way at the top because you can still hear perfectly and if you want to see the action you still can (but binoculars always help!). Plus, I'm broke, er, cheap, I have plenty of things to spend $$ on, impecunious........you get the picture. The tickets are $18/show and are considered obstructed view but it generally means there's a thin handrail in the rail and usually isn't an issue. I had these seats this year also. We would be going on a Thursday night for the most part. Dates not set in stone yet. Tickets, as subscribers, can be switched at no cost. You would own your own ticket. 5 operas are about $100 after they add in their fees (yep, really!). We would be seeing everything but Billy Budd and Einstein on the Beach. If you are interesting in joining our group of 3 you would need to contact me no later than Monday noon so I can finalize it with the box office.
Have a wonderful weekend.
