San Mateo Storytellers Club Meeting

We have four great stories lined up for March 25th!

Duncan Fife – There’s the Right Way and the Army Way!

Journey back in time to Oklahoma and meet former Army1st Lieutenant, Duncan Fife, who has lead an exciting life as one of the "Madmen" of Madison Avenue with J. Walter Thompson on to creating and preforming singing telegrams for the past 28 years. Come hear Duncan’s story about his time at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma… THERE’S THE RIGHT WAY AND THE ARMY WAY!

Steven Chin - Androcles and the Lion

Everyone loves a well-told folk tale for its timeless beauty and the lessons learned! Come hear Steven Chin retell "Androcles and the Lion", an early Roman tale of compassion, courage, and the power of friendship.

Bob Pope - Why was I so afraid?

Haven’t we all had face our fears? In doing so, perhaps we remembered some powerfully moving things about ourselves, while learning new strategies for living. Bob Pope will share his story, entitled “Why was I so afraid?” about his recent journey under the guidance of Teacher Master Champion (TMC) and he what learned and remembered about himself.

Joseph Fernandez - Can you Focus?

In an age where multitasking is a norm, how do we ensure we remain focused on our goals? Joseph Fernandez will weave a personal story about making things happen; with an added twist! His story tackles the important question; “Can you Focus?” Should we focus on only one thing and give it our all; is worth the risk?

From Roman to Madison Avenue tales and from Fear & Multi-tasking to ...? Come hear these stories. You can plan giving your stories at SMS and at home, work, and other places. It's all fun to hear and bring them to your dreams later after a joyful night at SMS.
