Come join us for a little taste of Italy. We've been here before and it's always been a favorite among meetup members as well as some of the organizers. *grin*. For any of you that have been to The Mambo Italiano, you know that it's not an overly large place so we're keeping this group to a max of 12 people.
The Mambo is a family owned restaurant with fresh and delicious offerings. The bruschetta is excellent as is the Gamberi Scampi. Actually I can't recall anything on the menu that isn't delicious!
Maybe RSVPs are asked to update to Yes/No by the Friday prior. All "Yes" RSVPs will be sent the reservation name and a cell number the day prior.
Here's what some people are saying about The Mambo:
"Mambo is a great family-owned Italian restaurant. I've been to Mambo on several occasions and have never been disappointed! The food is great and the service is good. And, it is not a chain restaurant! One of my favorite places to eat."
"As a frequent diner at many of the restaurants that Taylor Street has to offer, I typically don't have high expectations for any other Italian restaurants.
I was Extremely impressed with the food and service at this restaurant in the north suburbs - in a strip mall, of all places. I cannot recommend this restaurant strongly enough - it is great for a business lunch because the service is great. It would also be a great date spot. I've never been for dinner, but I would be surprised if the restaurant wasn't absolutely packed - it's that good!
The sauces and pastas tasted homemade, the service was among the best I've had, and the menu is varied."
"This is the real deal. You will never find this place unless you actively look for it. It's in a strip center and looks very non-descript. In fact, you probably won't even expect much if you go. But once you sit down you'll enjoy every minute. The waitresses are passionate about the food and seem like they genuinely like the place. The menu is very diverse and the food is excellent. Plenty of specials to choose from as well (although it would be nice if they gave you the prices of the specials, my veal cutlet was more pricey than I expected - but delicious too). Service is outstanding. My son mis-ordered, and when we told the waitress, she was so happy to make a change for us. We will return often. This is a terrific place to get great, passionate service, a nice environment, a well-paced meal to allow for good conversation, and really, really tasty Italian food.
So come on out for a Little Taste of Italy at the Mambo Italiano!
Hope to see you there
