Pathfinder Society at Game Keep

The Pathfinder Society is a living campaign. On Golarion, the world of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, the Pathfinder Society is an organization of explorers, vagabonds, sages, and treasure hunters determined to plumb the depths of the darkest tombs, and collect relics and lore from bygone ages. In Pathfinder Society Organized Play, you play a member of the Pathfinder Society, seeking fortune and glory all over the face of Golarion. At the same time, your character works for one of eight factions, all with their own motivations and secret agendas. The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game is an evolution of the 3.5 rules set of the world's oldest fantasy roleplaying game. You can find a free download of the Guide to PFS play here: http://paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/v5748btp... There will also be pregens on hand. Come join us! New players (and GMs!) welcome.

I unfortunately must send my regrets. I will be traveling to visit the Inlaws today. (failed that will save)

I do not plan to run BK this Saturday. It looks like our players would be better served by pushing it back, so probably late April or May. It sounds like Michael will have a tier 1-5 to help get use closer this weekend. With the house ripped apart this week, I unfortunately haven't been able to prep anything else.

I have been working too much to prep a scenario, but will be playing my ranger.

@Michael: Whichever you feel like. We should be pretty covered with whichever you prepare.

I will plan to be there along with Grace and Claire, my daughters who are 12 and 11. I am happy to run something if we need another table, just need to have an idea what to prepare. Sounds like there will be a good number of us there!

Assuming we're not running Bonekeep, I'll have 2-19 Shades of Ice-Part III: Keep of the Huscarl King (1-5) prepped to close out the trilogy.

It's Bonekeep Saturday! Bring your best game for this challenging dungeon which could only previously be played at the larger cons. This is a tier 3-7 dungeon delve. A few caveats: there are no pregens for this event. This is a timed event--you have 5 hrs to get as far as you can get before a hard stop. You can (as a party) decide to leave the dungeon at any point outside of combat. Lastly, there is an above average chance of character death. Who's ready for the challenge?

I was going to confirm that with you, thanks for the preemptive post.
There are a few other questions that I have regarding the spell, but since we are looking at postponing Bonekeep until May, they can wait.
I did have a plan for dealing with the random target might hit party members, but this might be too much of an investment for too little reward with the time crunch.

I've read several ideas on how to "fix" the randomness issue but nothing very satisfying. Happy to listen to your idea, though. In the end I don't find this spell to be well written, and it generally raises more questions than not. If you want to email me with ideas and questions, fire away.

No pregens? Will there possibly be another table for low tier?

    March 18, 2014

    • Michael D.

Correct. Luckily, even Paladins and Rangers can use them before they can cast spells.

      March 19, 2014

    • Martin S.

Yep. As long as the spell is on the character's class list of spells, they can use it with no check, even if it's above their level. My first level wizards are always looking for a wand of fireballs....However my bard with his wand of lightning bolt must make a umd check--not on the bard list.

I plan on bringing my level 6 sorcerer; however, if we are playing a tier 1-2 game I do have a character I want to try.

i plan to have either my level 5 barbarian or my level 7 rogue

I should hopefully be there this week with either my level 3 (maybe 4 if I squeeze in one more session) Paladin or a level 4 Gunslinger / Inquisitor.

It might be a good idea for people that are coming this week to include what they're going to play so that we can prepare.

Speaking of preparations, from all accounts Bonekeep is lethal, so we'll need to be prepared. Here's a good thread to check out:
