Do you play RPGs or Board Games, or both?

I was introduced at a young age, but haven't played since the late 90's. I still listen and watch the occasional podcast or vlog. I started picking up the dice again at GenCon 2011 at D&D game day, and met this group! Looking back over the past six months, I've had the chance to meet a lot of great folks, play a lot of great games, and started running events that I hope people enjoy playing in.

If you play RPGs, Do you prefer to DM or be a player?

I do enjoy playing quite a bit, but I tend to sway more towards the storytelling side of adventuring rather than the tactical aspect. So the call of the DM screen is powerful and great, so I tend to DM a lot more than I play, so I can build and create and weave stories, which I love to do.

What RPGs or Board Games are your favorites?

D&D, Savage Worlds, any sort or RPG system really. I've been thinking of trying out The One Ring by Cubicle Seven, and some of the old school systems such as OSRIC.

What are your favorite inspirations (books, films, comics) for your games?

I am usually inspired by the imagery surrounding the Crusades era. Movies, art, etc. Also, I'm a huge Tolkien nut, so I like me some dwarves and halflings as well.

Hello! I moved to Nashville in 2008 and currently GM for the group at Encounters and LFR. I'm into all kinds of RPG's and Miniature Wargaming.
