Do you play RPGs or Board Games, or both?

Ever since I was 14 (which was back in 1985 LOL!)

If you play RPGs, Do you prefer to DM or be a player?

I love the player aspect of DND and enjoy it immensely. I would rather run Rolemaster/SpaceMaster as a GM since I have vast experience in the game.

What RPGs or Board Games are your favorites?

LOVE Rolemaster, DND 3.5! and AD&D, SpaceMaster and Pathfinder. I feel that DND 4.0 is too much like World of Warcraft Online or Lotro (Lord of the Rings Online) and would just rather play the video game than sit in on a DND 4.0 session (I dont mean to offend any 4.0 players/GM's out there - just not my cup of tea), Gurps, Shadowrun, Call of Cthulhu! I haven't played in a Cthulhu game in years and would love to find a dark GM that is good at running them...

What are your favorite inspirations (books, films, comics) for your games?

The Lord of the Rings (#1 inspiration and books), Sword of Shannara, Silmarillion, The Hobbit, Wizards First Rule, Dragon Lance, Deathgate Cycle, War of the Twins, The Matrix, Dragonslayer, Krull (yes I know! hehe), The Last Unicorn, Labyrinth, The Princes Bride, 300, Sparticus, Rome, Anything Tolkien really, Shadowrun, Traveler, Shadowrun, Gurps, Call of Cthulhu, Lovecraft, Warcraft, Eve-online, SW Galaxies, Age of Conan, Dark Age of Camelot, Mists of Avalon, Everquest

All my life I have played fantasy games and enjoyed them tremendously! I write Visual Basic/C# applications to aid in gaming. I am a avid Tolkien fan, and spent many years playing Rolemaster (which use to be MERP - Middle Earth Roleplaying).
