Do you play RPGs or Board Games, or both?

I have been playing D&D for a long time. My parents used to play with my grand parents, and I was allowed to watch at an early age. I didnt realy get into it myself untill I was about 12 years old. it was at thebeginning of 2nd eddition. I can remember a late night on holloween when my mom broke out her old I6 Ravenloft modual. From that point onward I have been a fan of good horror. Not blood, guts, and gore... ... but true lock your bedroom door, turn on your nightlight Horror. (which means that if it was good enough, then the nightlight will seam to have a bad fuse and flicker all night.)

If you play RPGs, Do you prefer to DM or be a player?

I prefer to DM. I have been running stories for alot of different types of role playing table top and larp groups, and I very much enjoy running games over playing in them. My old Gaming buddies in Florida had no flare for good story telling so I was forced to DM all our games. And now I love it.

What RPGs or Board Games are your favorites?

I am currently wishing to run a D&D 3.5 Ravenloft campaign. As far as other games go. I have experience with 7th Sea, Shadowrun, (I used to be a press ganger for Privateer press so I have alot of time spent playing Iron Kingdoms, Warmachine, and Hordes), Old World of Darkness games ,and Magic the Gathering. I am also a 2 time Dragon Con Munchkin champion. Not that that realy means anything... ... I cheeted.

What are your favorite inspirations (books, films, comics) for your games?

H.P. Lovecraft, David Eddings, Tolkin, P.N. Elrod. the Vampire hunter D novels by dark horse publishing. just about anything writen by white wolf. Im a big fan of the Darkness comic books and some of my favorite movies are Willow, Legend, The Black Cauldron, and Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Hello. I'm new to the area and dont realy know anyone around here to game with. I'm looking for players for a ravenloft game I will be running. if your interested please let me know.
