What do you look for in a D&D campaign? (Hack 'n Slash, intrigue, roleplay, etc.)

I always enjoyed a good hard-core campaign. I ran one campaign that lasted seven years and have played in several others that have lasted three or four years. But that was long time ago in another life. It’s been so many years since I’ve really played anything of note that a nice simple dungeon hack sounds pretty good right now.

I’ve been a gamer for a long time, about 27 years. During that time, I’ve played a number of game systems and dabbled in the fringes of the gaming industry. D&D, Rolemaster, and Warhammer Fantasy Battles are my favorites.
