What are you hoping to find here? New friends? New players? To join a new group? To learn how to play? Meet others who still use their imagination?

I am a casual player who doesn't know much besides what I've encountered in my own games. I'd like to hear stories of great adventures and get more familiar with different game mechanics. I'd like to hang out with like minded people.

Favorite sci-fi/fantasy movie/TV show/book? Favorite sci'fi/fantasy character?

Artoo and Palpatine The crew of Serenity Worf and Data Sylar MacGyver

Do you DM? If so, do you write your own adventures or use modules? Do you follow the rules as written, or do you "go with the flow"?

Yes. I use a mix between writing my own adventures and using modules. Usually, I use the map and enemies form a module but change the names and plot to fit my own ongoing story.

Do you have a favorite setting for adventures (pirates, dungeons, space ships, chicken coops, haunted houses)? How long have you been playing? What edition do you prefer? Do you prefer hack 'n slash? Intricate stories? Riddles? Mysteries? Quests?

I've been playing off and on for 3 years now. i like the classic fantasy campaign. I've played CoC, Star Wars, 4e and Pathfinder. I am fond of intricate story heavy campaigns.

Weirdest character name you've run across (or used)? Weirdest choice for a familiar?

Ha... not too many funny or weird... Bento (like the lunchbox) was an NPC I used off and on. :) I often spell standard names funny, like Cliff is spelled Klliphph, just to look a tad more fantastic.

Introduction

I love playing all table-top games, be it board or role playing. I've plyed/DM's Star Wars, Call of Cthulhu, 4e D&D and Pathfinder.
