Planet Eris Campaign: Rappan Athuk (Session 5)

Planet Eris is an ongoing OD&D White Box campaign that uses the Planet Eris house rules. Rappan Athuk is a multi-level dungeon and wilderness adventure for beginning & experienced players, run by DM Christian Southwick. New characters will be created at the table before play begins. Returning characters from other Planet Eris games are also welcome.

"Centuries past, the forces of good shattered Tsar— the temple-city of Orcus, Demon Prince of Undeath. The priests of the demon prince fled and sought refuge in a coastal wilderness, but were pursued by the righteous host. The fate of both armies lies obscured by the mists of time. Ancient sources agree that neither force was heard from again. Most chroniclers suggests that the army of good vanquished the dark remnant, but that victory was secured at terrible cost, with none surviving the final confrontation. If so it was a fair price to be rid of the foul priesthood. But not all of the chronicles are in accord. Some few scrolls assert that a portion of the demon prince's servants found refuge in a long-forgotten underground complex and came to flourish in its depths over time. They name this black sanctuary Rappan Athuk. Armed with a map that purports to identify its location, the party sets off to discover the truth and the legendary dungeon's reputed treasures."

Thanks to all who attended. I had a great time DMing this one. This was a fairly lucrative expedition into Rappan Athuk. Ways further down into the dungeon have now been uncovered. . . .
