February Meet-Up

Well, it's that time again! This month's Meet-Up will be held on Sunday, February 21st at 12:15p.m. at Battleforge Games. After last month's great turn out, I'm constantly seeking DMs for these one-shots so if you would be interested, send me a message on the site. It's a great way to get positive feedback from friendly players if you're new or just trying out an idea for a campaign or setting. On the topic of DMing games, I will be running a
D&D 4th Edition game for 3rd level characters. I'll have pre-gens ready and players are more than welcome to bring their own. Standard items for 3rd level are: One 4th level magic item, one 3rd level magic item, and one 2nd level magic item and gold equal to a 3rd level magic item. If possible, please include in your RSVP what class you'll be playing. Also, the
2nd Edition Game will be there as well. This table is constantly making me jealous with the crowd they draw and they always seem to have a full table whenever these things roll around, so if you're interested in the older systems or just prefer them to the newer 4th edition I would highly recommend checking their table out. Contact Todd for more information about the actual game. Note: Assuming more DMs crawl out of the woodworks, I will be updating this with the specifics for whatever D&D edition, level, and other information as needed.
Notice: I will not be able to make this Meet-Up due to a sudden issue with work, but Harmony will be taking my place this Sunday, DMing the same game I was going to run and generally acting as my replacement. Gotta love life.

Had a great time, Dax couldn't hit the broad side of an orc with a double sword, but i had a blast.

Had a blast over at the "experienced with 4e" table. James managed to run a delve and be flexible enough with allowing us to do wacky things to make it interesting. Good work!

The two tables were divided between those with more experience playing 4e, and those of us who are relatively new to this edition. I played at the newbie table, and had a great time. Matt, the DM, did an admirable job running the session while at the same time teaching the game to the 9 players at the table.

Great time I think, my game ran a little longer than I wanted but I think most everyone had a great time. I hope in the future I might be able to recruit some more GMs to rotate running games so that we we can spread the number of people at each table out a little more.

If we get jumped to overload capacity on the tables I can DM a 1-shot as well, it's my first time DMing 4E but I can throw out a quick lvl 3 4e as well... if not, I'm going to play a 1/2orc Fighter again

No problem Harmony, I'll take any overflow so you don't have to have a oversized table. The adventure I had in mind should be able to scale easily for an oversized group.

Matt, can I rely on you DMing with me if we need it? Looks like we're going to...

No, the only cost is if you wish to purchase something from the store or any snacks or drinks you may want to buy. Battleforge does ask that you not bring your own snacks and outside beverages. Its okay if you bring in combo meals from Whataburger or Zen or etc (Battleforge only sells snack candies and chips and bottled drinks), make sure to be respectful of the store and other patrons and clean up when your finished.

Does it cost anything to attend?
