Planet Eris Campaign: Urchinn Isles Megadungeon (Session 1)

The Planet Eris Campaign is an ongoing OD&D White Box scenario that uses the Planet Eris house rules. Emphasis is on old-school dungeoneering, especially megadungeon-style play. New characters will be created at the table before play begins. Returning characters from other Planet Eris games are also welcome.

The Urchinn Isles Megadungeon is run by DM Lawson Bennett, and set in the same campaign world as the Skull Mountain Megadungeon.

"North of ancient Stygia, betwixt the Barabarian Kingdoms of the West and the Great Sea of Lanthos, a dark elder power, is forcing its way into the world of Planet Eris. From the watery depths it comes, and only the restoration of a forgotten temple can vanquish the eldritch evil. Are you the warrior who will do so!? Prepare to breathe in the salty air of the Urchinn Isles!"

Hey Flawson, I just need your home address and the kind of car you drive! Oh, do you like to drive fast? Also, any steep hills on your normal commute?

It was nice to have a character actually live and advance a level rather than just die as usual!
    ODND forever, man!
There were a lot of us.
The more the merrier, of course, but do we just need more ODND meet ups? Spread the love?

Dang, Lawson! Level One of the dungeon and it feels like we walked into level seven! We were told about a morkoth by Jimm and we encountered basilisks, a wizard that could survive 24 points of damage without dying, and a grey slaad. Sure there were a few encounters with deep ones and kua-toa, but those are some SERIOUS foes for any dungeon entrance area! We lost a 6th level magic-user, a 5th level magic-user, and a 4th level fighting-man today.

Okay, I'm not totally innocent. I put the brain collector in section 1 of my dungeon and a beach cave with a monster lair (currently griffons) guarding the back door of the dungeon. But I was a player this time, so it's different! :)

I'm sure you will be fine to play, we tend to take all that show up.

Brandon is correct. But if you are worried there won't be room for you remember, no DM has ever turned away a player that brings munchies to his game! :)
