Pathfinder & Pizza, Tuesday

A classic setting, guided by the player's choice of quests and goals. We'll set our vision for the world at the first meeting, so come to the first one to have a say. It will start with a rich, dungeon-style environment and expand from there, collaborating with the players for a richer story. Come help create a world; that and join fellow gamers for pizza and drinks.

The game will open in the mountain-side town of Drafton in the early fall. Drafton is known for harsh conditions, tough denizens, the dense monster-infested Cherrywoe Woods, and the ruins of the dwarven forge-city Yggarril.

I will provide premade characters for those who are not intersted in making their own characters. I will also have a lot of printed character sheets. I use funny (and horrible) accents for my NPCs. I enjoy combat, and I use a plethora of pre-printed, vinyl and published grids and maps for my games. I also make and print my own tokens, and will make one to represent your character if you find a picture you'd like to use.

We are not a society group. Right now I am not sure there will be room for one more, but after Christmas we will take stock of the group and see where everyone's at.

I was looking forward to this, but I found out last minute that I have an uncharacteristically late work-thing. I'm still very interested in coming in the future, so please let me know when you play next! And have fun tonight :D

How do we find each other... is there a specific table or place in the restaurant or is someone wearing something identifiable?

    • Arell

I'm the guy with the van dyke beard, a t-shirt with a swiss-army "plus" sign on it, and a table filled with Pathfinder Core Role Playing Game(TM) books :P

Hm - can't find ye olde dice... will pick up some new ones. Looks like 4 of each type is a good setup for this game, right?

It would be more than enough. If you wanted to save a little scratch, you could go to a teacher's supply store, like Teacher's Haven on Burnett & 183. They have a whole range of dice, including d20, d12, d10, d8, d6, d4 and even stranger!

If anyone would like to read a few thoughts about what I would like from this game, and a little bit about what I have prepared, you can read it here; http://rroleplaying.blogspot.com/2012/11/new-campaign-when-trees-are-teeth.html

Man, I am so interested in this! I just wish it was closer to Bastrop. I might be able to talk my wife who has never played before into going. What books would we have to bring with us? (I only have 3.5 and below, I quit when I got married :( )

This would be a good game for you and your wife to join, since my co-worker has also never played before. I do my best to be an accessible GM and keep things simple.

Bring pencils, bring dice, bring imagination.

Room for an old guy who doesn't necessarily remember how to play?

    November 1, 2012

    • Arell

Yessiree, I can safely say that this will be a newbie-an-grognard friendly game.

Does Conan's have gluten free options?

    October 31, 2012

    • Arell

That's a good question. They do not have gluten-free dough, but the have chicken wings and salad. Here's a link to their menu: http://conanspizza.co...

Also, on Tuesdays, their chicken wings are 50 cents.
