The Adventurer's Pack (aka The "Flynn Special")...

Austin, TX
Post #: 40
Good Morning, All:

At the request of several D&D Meetup members, I'm posting the details of the Adventurer's Pack, commonly used to make equipment purchases faster when creating characters. This came from an appendix in the back of the PHB II, but it works great for One Shots and new campaigns.

The Adventurer's Pack, sometimes called the "Flynn Special" among Austin D&D Meetup members, costs 15 gp, and contains the following:

* one backpack,
* one belt pouch,
* one bedroll,
* flint and steel,
* two torches,
* ten days worth of trail rations,
* 50 feet of hempen rope
* and one waterskin.

It is suggested that arcane and divine casters also purchase a spell component pouch, and that divine casters pick up a silver holy symbol. It is also suggested that Rogues purchase a set of thieves' tools, as well.

Also, remember that all characters start with a basic outfit appropriate to their station and occupation for free.

With Regards,
