The Mages' Guild Monthly Open-Meeting

  • December 8, 2012 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

PLEASE NOTE: The Guild is now back on Spring/Summer hours and the core of our monthly open meeting starts at 19:00H (7:00 P.M.). New members are requested to arrive at least one-hour early so that we have time to get you started.  PLEASE ADJUST YOUR SCHEDULE!

We also have a Pre-meeting Pathfinder Game every month (at the same location) that begins at 15:o0H (3:00 P.M.) run by Guildsman Medio Glen Ahrlich. If you are interested, please come down around 14:45H (2:45 P.M) so that you can enroll in that activity.

RSVP Instructions: In addition to your vote on the boards, please RSVP via e-mail ([masked]) or at my cell if you have it. If not, please e-mail me to get my e-card that has all of my contact numbers and e-mail addresses. I'd rather not post all of that data here, for the whole world to sell. :-) Please notify BY PHONE me if your RSVP changes if at all possible. I need to get phone numbers for ALL members so that I may call anyone who RSVPs "Yes to Attend" in case I'm running late, or in case of an emergency cancellation or change in venue. Meeting Details:

Not only do we have two games during the open meetings now, but there are plenty of other activities, including additional games run and/or hosted by The Guild and its members; though if you're just popping in to kibitz, that's perfectly fine as well. When you come in, please look for me (Xi) or, if I'm not there, look for Glen. I'm usually towards the back, and have long reddish blond hair, a trimmed beard and glasses (if I'ven't forgotten to put them on in my hustle).

If I'm not there, it means that I'm running late and Glen should be there to fill in until I arrive. He's the bloke with silver hair & an on/off beard (depending on the season), and always looks like he's hatching a diabolical plot (probably true). If in doubt, please call my mobile. You only get my mobile number by CONTACTING ME FIRST, so if you haven't done so, please send me a message with your name/number and I'll send my e-card to you in reply.

I don't share anyone's contact info with anyone else (even other members without first asking implicit permission from all parties). Therefore, you don't have to worry about (Lawful or Chaotic) Evil Telemarketers calling you up at 10PM while you're sitting down to SG-1, to sell you stuff you don't want, or imagine anyone who could ever want it either. Your number and e-mail address are safe in my hands. :)

Meeting Agenda and Timescale:

2:30-2:45 P.M. (14:30 to 14:45H): Pre-game Arrivals & Set-Up

3:00 P.M. (15:00H): Pathfinder Game run by Guildsman Medio Glen Ahrlich

7:00PM (19:00H) - Break for Late-Segment Arrivals & Set-Up

7:15PM (19:15H) - Introductions & Business

7:45PM (19:45H) - Main Game Begins

9:30PM (21:30H) - Games Pause / Break Time

9:45PM (21:45H) - Games Resume

11:50PM (23:00H) - Games Break; Occasional Additional Business

12-Midnight (00:00H) - Meeting Closing Remarks

Post-Midnight - Multiple Choice Possibilities as follows: The store officially closes at Midnight, but usually is open later. If so, we often game as late as 1AM, but this is tentative on the staff sticking around for us. If not, we may simply adjourn, or relocate to a restaurant or café, or even Memo's Café, if we have enough willing participants with whom to do so.

P.S. Don't forget to bring plenty of pens, pencils and snacks and as always, be sure to have a blast! Additionally, bring whatever munchies and beverages you would like to enjoy for yourself, in addition to anything that you would care to share.

If you forget to bring your own food or drink, remember that the liquor store in the same plaza that sells "Gigantor-sized" soft drinks for about $2.00 and there is an Arbys on the corner for nutritional items. Imperial also sells canned soft drinks if you need one in a pinch. P.P.S. The Optional Contribution will go towards paying for the site, which now costs a ton of money per year, plus group supplies, parties, room rentals for meetups and so on. None of it goes to my pocket; Not a cent!
