We, The Mages' Guild are an association for the promotion of social activities related to Role Playing Games of all shapes and sizes. Whether you are a pen and paper adventurer, a war-games expert, or an old TBA master, you will find that The Guild will help you network with more people that share your interests.
Members also include science-fiction, fantasy and RPG authors & artists, and part of the purpose of The Guild is to offer assistance to them, both in editing and in acting as a publishing agent for their works.
We have our own BBS for on-line discussions as well as monthly meetings, gaming sessions and other special activities. Please view the Events Roster on our BBS or our general Events section for more information or to view our present list of activities. During these, you can expect at least one or two active P&P games, plus a healthy plethora of social fun, and maybe some door prizes too!
If you are looking for a game that you can join, or wish to contact our leaders, please view the list of Guild contacts. For more information on our organizational structures, please view the list of Guild ranks and ratings.
The Mages' Guild is a technocratic association with eight tiers of membership. In order to gain a higher rank within The Guild you must earn it via contributions of your time and skill. All those who enroll in The Guild begin at Acoluthus level, however members do not receive perks or benefits until they reach at least the rank of Guildsman.
To become a Guildsman, you may either pay the monthly (or annual) dues, or achieve a promotion by investing your time and skill in our functions.
We offer multi-RPG action, including AD&D (all editions) and D&D d20 (3rd Edition+), in all settings (including custom worlds), RIFTS, Hackmaster, Dragonlance, Star Wars, Zoria, Traveler and many other gaming environments. This is a safe haven for mature-minded players of all ages, so why not check us out today.
We have open meetings on the second Saturday of every month: These are open to all who may wish to attend, for any reason, during which there is a business meeting and at least two games. This is in addition to many regular and recurring events, both on weekends and weekdays, as well as one-off special events that we host from time-to-time.
You can always find the most up-to-date schedule of Guild events on our BBS, so don't forget to check out our main website at http://www.magesguild.org and join in our BBS at http://www.magesguild.org/bbs and our weekly chat (Tuesday; 7PM until 'the last man standing') at http://www.magesguild.org/bbs/chat.
Meetings are to discuss gaming in general, introduce new campaigns and systems, play (or run) RPG game sessions, and just to sit around, spin the yarn and have a jolly old time. Game masters and system designers are especially welcome. Join us to hone your skills, refine your writing techniques, or play test your new game. Above all, have fun.
