Hey thanks for your reply Chris, I'll be sure to head down to Battlefield Bangkok when I'm in town. It'll be good to see what's happening in BKK as far as gaming goes, hopefully there's more happening there than in Phuket (although with all the other entertainment in Phuket I can't say I would have had the time or the inclination to game even if there were other gamers around). Tentatively I do not have any place arranged for where I will be staying, I have made my flight plans but figured I would find an apartment when I make the move. I am finishing up with my degree work here, and was planning on trying to find work abroad and experience another new culture. I have been studying Thai but I feel woefully unprepared though so hopefully I will catch on quick. I understand ESL teaching jobs are prolific and I figure that is a sound option, but havent settled on anything

Well to tell the truth, lately I have been playing mostly Magic the Gathering, the community here locally is pretty centered around it. However I have worked for GW and I grew up playing 40k and L5R. I used to do the L5R circuit and travel around the country but gave the game a rest in the newest edition. Im all about doing what I can to support my community and I hope to make many new life-long friends when I reach Thailand.

Hello Chris, I wanted to send you a small note to get your opinion of the gaming community/culture in Bangkok. I am planning to move to Thailand this upcoming summer and was anticipating to have to give up my gaming when I made the move. It seems there is a rather large community, is it just RPGs? or is it CCG and tabletop as well? additionally are the various games with english speakers or are there any games being run in Thai?
