I am this kind of geek?

I am a graphic designer and web designer. I stress over the small details that the average Joe will never notice. "Should this logo go 1 pixel to the left, 1 pixel to the right?" I love creating a web design then diving right into the back end to make it exactly as I planned. With a background in print and digital media, I see myself as a versatile individual, willing to admit my mistakes and improve upon them.

I like to wear hats?

I like to double as a graphic designer and web designer/developer. I was a flash developer, working in Actionscript 3 before that crashed and burned. I consider myself a constant student, always trying to learn the latest tricks and techniques in the industry.

I am awesome?

My day job leaks into my recreational time. While my friends may find it annoying, I think it's pretty awesome to check out the design of an area's signage, window graphics, menus, microbrewery beer labels, etc. when out of town on vacation.

I'm willing to help people in the community with...

I am willing to help people in the community with design critique, design advice, website help, and anything else somebody may think I could lend a contribution to.

My skillset generally looks like this:

I have a degree in graphic design, but the self motivated go-getter that I am is constantly studying new advancements in the web industry. I like to design tricky web layouts just to challenge myself to create them into a functioning, cohesive piece of HTML/CSS/Javascript/whatever other tool I need to finish the job.

Introduction

I'm a graphic designer with a passion for thoughtful layouts, great user interfaces, simplistic design with a purpose, and overall making things look good and looking at things that others have made look good.
