My husband and I just adopted a collie/rottie/golden/whatever else from a shelter in Lamar (he was worth the drive). We were looking for a rescue meet up in our area, but couldn't find one so we started our own. Our idea for this group is to bring people and rescued dogs together to meet and play. It would also be cool to participate in things that advocate animal rescue, such as The Furry Scurry or a day of volunteering at Max Fund.
All kinds of dogs are welcome: Big, small, young, old, even little ones with big egos.

“We recently recued Toby, a Bedlington Terrier mix. He is a little shy around big dogs, unless they are laid back. I just joined the small dog meet up as well. Looking for ways to introduce my little guy to others for play.”

New Greeting for“Hi. I see you have a sheltie mix. We have always had shelties. Our latest came to us in February from a puppy mill in Nebraska. We love her lots, she is a special girl. Sadly we lost both our other Shelties this year, one in Jan, one in June. It's been a rough year. I see your hometown is Holyoke. I lived there for one year on a parish church assignment in 1983.
