I am sorry that we could not join you on this trip. I am carless this morning! Plus, I only just read this message Sunday morning at 9:20 am. No time to make any arrangements. Also, I just found out on Friday that Meetup has been having problems with my email address, but it seems to be working alright since then.

My dogs are loving the snow but I surely couldn't hike in it! See you in March

Hi everyone! I am so sorry this weather has NOT been our friend. The hike tomorrow due to the weather and amount of snow will be postponed to March!

Thanks so much for checking, Leslie. I *really* hope that it becomes spring by mid-March. Until then :)

If you have any questions please give me a call. I just want everyone to be safe because shorter dogs will not do well in the amount of snow we have gotten. :tear:

So sorry, this old girl and my old dog just can not hike thru this deep snow. I am sure it will be beautiful but we're going to have to miss it. Looking forward to many more. Thanks

With the snow and the distance we'll have to travel, we are going to sit out on this one. Hope to make the next hike!

Did I miss any notices about the hike on the 16th is it still on or has it been snowed out?

    February 13, 2014

    • Leslie

You didn't miss any notices, I am going to check out the scene before Sunday and let everyone know what is going on! :)

Hey everyone! We are still watching the weather. I am going to get out there and check it out before Sunday and evaluate the situation! :) Be safe out there today everyone!

Coal's going to have a challenge dolphining through the snow. Hopefully there are established trails through the preserve and people will have started to trample down a way through before Sunday. So we'll still go and hope for the best. We can always turn back if the trails turn out to be too buried.

Luna's the same way. A medium size dog she is not a plow and this snow is deep and exhausting for her. We'll re-evaluate Sunday...

We were going to go, but at this point I think it's a no go. My dogs are 10 and 13 pounds.

If my buys had longer legs we would be there. But with the snow it won't be fun for either of us. Looking forward to the next one.

I keep looking at the picture and realize we are being fooled by a fall shot. Where is the winter picture with the two feet of snow accumulated? Or is that the real purpose of the walk to take winter pictures?

I look forward to the hike. Anyone have a walker needing a dog to walk with them?

    February 5, 2014

    • Leslie

The real purpose of the walk is to take winter pictures! No foolery here. :)

I hope some of this snow is gone by then though

Luna and I love to get outdoors...

Anyone like to sing while hiking? :)

How strenuous is this hike? I have 2 girls ages 4 and 6 and was thinking of bringing them along with my wife and 2 pooches.

    January 21, 2014

    • Leslie

Hello Joshua! This is an easy hike and is not strenuous at all! Your wife and two children will have a great time here :)
