Inversion of Control principle and Dependency Injection Containers

Ian Johnson, a Senior Software Engineer Ascend Clinical, will discuss the inversion of control principle and why it's useful. His presentation will show how dependency injection containers can help you achieve inversion of control.  Examples will include the use of the dependency injection container along with a sample app that leverages the container and its many different features.

The Java Spring Framework is founded upon the principles of IoC and has, therefore, been used in a number of enterprise wide corporate IT projects.  As .NET developers, we can really benefit from Ian's experience and insight.

Great talk! too bad I had to head out before my parking meter expired. There must be a better place to park.

I parked in one of the paid parking lots. $6 was all it cost me.

Ian is a great educator. Those of you who did not attend missed an insightful presentation on an important topic.

Had to back out, and it wasn't due to threats of hazing... I promise. ;-)
Hope to see you all next month!

This is my first meetup to attend for this group. What is the format of the meeting?

Mingling, followed by hazing the new guys and keg stands, then usually a presentation with Q&A.

What Brian had stated. Just bring some protection or money to minimize the hazing.
