  • NBG Office (above Eve's Cafe)

David Sussman will be giving us the ins and outs of SignalR.

SignalR provides simple real-time publishing and subscription for .NET applications, both web and non-web. Now officially supported by Microsoft, it opens exciting possibilities for real-time messaging and synchronisation in a simple to use package. This talk will show how to use SignalR as a mechanism for application data signalling, in a variety of forms: from browser to browser, server to browser, and external service to server and browser.

Dave Sussman, is a Microsoft MVP in ASP.NET and member of ASPInsiders - an industry body that advises the Microsoft ASP.NET development team. He has authored around 40 books, and is actively involved in Microsoft beta programs.

Dave was as good as always. I unfortunately had to leave due to home emergency before pizza so didn't have a chance to circulate, but even by then Dave had given me more info than I could ever have gotten from Intro articles, etc (and has already altered my course on something)
