Decorate your bike and come out for Sacramento's oldest secret parade. For decades the 41st Street parade has spontaneously just "broken out" around 10:00 on the 4th of July. That's right! You're just standing around drinking Mimosas when all of a sudden a parade breaks out! There's live music, home-made ice cream, champagne (BYOB) and 500 bikes, trikes, wagons and unicycles. I'm posting this now, because a parade bike can take months to prepare. Personally I'm torn between a tandem, a unicycle or the swingbike (a wierd Stingray with rear wheel steering).
We will actually meet on the corner of 41st and M Streets. I'll be the one with the Mimosas...wait, everyone will have Mimosas. I'll have my Meetup pin on and be dressed in red white & blue.
A bicycle is not required to attend this event!
DON'T TELL ME YOU'RE WORKING. It's a holiday!
