First, Thanks to Rob Zylstra for keeping this group going as long as he did. It's a lot of work to keep stuff like this going and his efforts are much appreciated.
Vancouver Illustrators has now merged officially with Draw By Night (www.drawbynight.com), Vancouver's only bi-montly drawing party. DBN was founded in 2009 and since then we've collaborated with several galleries including the Diane Farris Gallery as part of their Twitter/Art + Social Media show and at the Interurban Gallery as part of the Walking Home Projects. We've also contributed donations to the Arthritis Society, BCSPCA and the The Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society. DBN has been so successful with kids that we've dedicated some parties entirely to families and their children and are calling it Draw By Day.
This will remain a free event and open to the public! There are always snacks and we supply paper, markers, pencils, pens and other materials of the like. Please also feel free to bring your own if you are interested.
I know a lot of you have all ready attended some of the DBN events and I hope to meet many more of you in the future.
I hope you enjoy the change,
thanks for drawing and being awesome
