New Meetup: DWS-Exclusive Meetup Only Mixer at Rush Street this Tuesday along with NF/SS/JAM

Dear Strangers,

Spring is upon us, finally, and well I guess thats a great reason to throw a little early week mixer along with our friends at No Flakes, Sophisticated Singles and Jam. Randy, Mark and Josh have had this event posted for some time, but I am getting in last minute because it looks like a lot of fun and I wanted to pass that off onto my members.

So normally when we've done parties at Rush in Culver City, we've taken over the upper level, and its pretty cool and big. 3 separate areas actually; outdoors, with many tables and stools, mid section with patron pole dancing, lessons and prizes and the main bar and lounge overlooking the rest of the club. It's pretty neat.

Randy and I will be there early to share the early evening drink specials and meet you, so plan you first day of spring with a nice outing and us.

Living up to its famous namesake- Chicago's Rush Street strip- Rush Street pulses with a welcoming vibe of casual sophistication. Replete with sweeping ceilings, brick walls and exposed wood beams, the d?cor and versatility of the space is perhaps its' greatest strength.

Perch up at the mezzanine bar to scan the soft horseshoe-shaped, licorice hued leather booths of the dining room below for your next true love. Wander out onto the breezy front patio to watch the world stroll by, or tuck away to stargaze or snuggle on the more secluded, candlelit back patio or low-lit upstairs lounge.

Matching the general aura of cozy elegance, the menu offers up a host of gourmet comfort food. Delicate mini crab cakes, buffalo chicken lollipops and tataki nachos are winners amidst the creatively refined, bar-centric bevy of snacking options. Entr?e's delve deeper into a fresh and hearty world with everything from marinated bistro steak frites to lobster thermador ravioli. Stuffed chicken breast: a tender, juicy blend of ricotta, spinach, and sundried tomato. And the baked macaroni and cheese, with it's oozing, perfectly golden blend of farmhouse cheeses.

Feeling a tad more lively? Take advantage of some liquid courage in the form of sparklingly yummy cocktails like the back nine (grey goose citron, limoncello, and iced tea) and dive into the pretty crowd at the tremendous 35 foot molded main bar. Even better, team up with the DJ and take a twirl on that shiny stripper pole in the ?star room'. You know you want to.

There's just something in the air at Rush Street.

Everyone- from the staff to the cheerful, eclectic crowd- seems ready to make friends. And at the end of the day, isn't that what we go out to do? Refreshing sense of possibility and inter-connectivity where you'd least expect it. Check.

PARKING:

Getting to Rush Street is a bit tricky as the entrance actually faces Culver Blvd. even though the address is on Washington Blvd. Both Washington Blvd. and Culver Blvd. intersect right before you get to Rush Street. So if you are taking Washington Blvd East, you then have to merge onto Culver Blvd. before getting to Rush Street. If you are taking Culver Blvd. East, Rush Street in right off the corner of Culver Blvd. and Irving Place, right next to Santa Maria BBQ, which is right on the corner.

In addition to Valet Parking, there are 2 parking lots available for inexpensive parking. One is directly across the street from Rush Street on Cardiff Avenue and the other is across the street and just West of Rush Street on Watseka Avenue. Both lots have the first 2 hours free and then just $1 per hour after that.
