A Trendy Club for this Friday Night 11/16 - Please help up decide...

Three places, all of which I have never been to but am excited to dress up and meet my friends there for a drink. Please choose either, "the edison" built in the old edison plant, "the stadard rooftop bar" just looks cool or "elevate" - I really don't know, but I love all of their websites and they were all recommended by DWSers who wanted to check them out themselves but would rather be with us strangers!

Drinking with Strangers goes Cruisin'

Story ---> Back in NY Carnival has a fab cruise called: 'The Cruise to No-Where' - Twice a year, the ship leaves NY Harbor and sets to sail for a 3 day trip, basically 3-5 miles away from shore with 3,000 people partying on the boat with 13 clubs and a lot of fun. I have done this specific cruise before with 4 girls and 4 guys and we had a blast, even before the ship took off. SoCal, doesn't have a cruise-nowhere, but they do have a 3-day weekend cruise to Ensanada which can be made into a DWS party cruise. I'd work on a group rate - about $300.00 to $500.00 per person depending on how many people were in your room (2-5) and if you wanted a interior or exterior room. All food included and party activities - not including alcohol - :-( We would leave Friday October 26 (My birthday weekend, 'cause I can't image celebrating my old age with anyone but a great bunch of fun strangers on a huge cruise ship) and arrive back Monday morning. So, the question is - would you come?

Drinks, Strangers and Fireworks on the Beach - But which Beach should we hit?

There are a very few parties that I see scheduled for July 4th, and I just love being on the beach, having a drink with strangers and enjoying a good fireworks show. So before Randy and I start searching for a venue to house our fun and friendly party group I wanted to take a quick census on which would be your favorite place to party and see the fireworks next week if you came out to meet us - Please answer quickly, we have some leg work to do if we get a positive response. I look forward to seeing you all next week and celebrating our Country's Independence...

MAKE-UP Party POLL: Less food, More Games VS. More Food Less Games (Same FUN either way)

Randy and I have been busy trying to get a gr8 place for us to have our make-up party. I now hold a signed but un-submitted contract with Santa Monica's Yankee-Doodles Cellar. This place is huge, 10,000 sq. feet, holds 500 comfortably, has 13 pool tables, foos-ball, arcade, air-hockey, dart boards, dance floor and a BIG bar. We could have the entire place to ourselves for 4 hours, all pool and some food for free 2/17 2-6PM... (Free for those who attended NYE and minimal cost to others), OR we can try to find a bar to have a party in and cater more food in to make up for NYE? So please choose ASAP, Randy and I prefer taking over the cellar in Yankee Doodles. Currently both of our schedules are very tight for throwing a party of this size, so if we don't do it 2/17, it will likely be delayed until March sometime. :-( FYI: Additional Food and Alcohol can be purchased over and beyond the amount we are budgeting, we would have assigned staff catering to us for the time we are there.

Santa Monica 3/29 or 3/30 - But Where!

I am torn - We've done Venice and Marina Del Ray and it's time to taste nightlife in Santa Monica. I've received some suggestions, I've been some places and I've done some research on http://losangeles.citysearch.com and http://www.lasplash.com and realized there are a lot of different types of places we can meet for a drink or two and party at - So to limit my choices, I pose a question to you ? Could you tell me what type of place you'd like to meet at:
