Multicopter/Drone Lab

The lab will be open every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month and for other TBD events.

Bring any project in any stage or condition that you'd like to work on and/or share. We'll do a show and tell and show some footage.

We have several donated rigs that we can learn from, build, fly and repair.

We will plan some projects to work on as a group.

We'll also be finalizing the group build/classes kits and begin taking orders.

We'll hopefully have some speakers at the next lab.

Hey guys. I just joined your group. I plan on coming to the meeting Tues, but I am in a bit of a bind right now. I have been working on a tricopter for a few months now. Anyways, something kind of big happened to me a few days ago and now I will need a working flying model by Monday. I believe the set up on my model is good (2 props CW, 1 prop CCW, KK2 in tricopter config, etc), but I cant seem to figure out the Turnigy 9x settings. So, if anyone can come downtown today or tomorrow to help out, I would greatly appreciate it. How does $30 sound?

Hello everyone, does anyone here use a Turnigy Transmitter? I am trying to learn how to use mine and was hoping to bring it to the next meetup. Thank you!

Hello David, I have a KK i86 Lite from hobbyking, I've heard great reviews about it but like I said, I'm having issues getting all of the motors kicking off at the same time. I also have a kk v5.5 board. Similar problems...I bought a DJI Naza Lite w/ GPS for the purpose of this class. I am determined to get this flying! I am going to bring everything I have. I have three frames built up, and enough gear for three quadcopters however I am kind of embarrassed I can't get anything going.

Yes, bring it all! We'll have fun getting it airborne.
