The Winter Solstice ceremony of Druid Tradition is ALBAN ARTHAN or 'The Light of Arthur'. In this tradition, Arthur is the Sun-God who dies and is reborn as the Son/Sun of Light--the Mabon--at Winter Solstice.
Persephone and I have planned a festive rite to start off any month-long holiday merriments you may have planned. Details are below. Please join us!
The ritual will be held at my place on Capitol Hill (near Volunteer Park). I will send out the address and directions to those of you who RSVP. There is street parking on 15th Ave and I live on the number 10 bus line.
We will begin the gathering at 7:00pm, Tuesday, December 16.
What to bring if you can:
Meaningful objects that you would like to empower on the Alban Arthan altar
and/or symbols of things you would like to bring into your life
Non-perishable food item for Northwest Harvest
Snacky-type food to share after the ritual
Ritual garb if you have it
You will find the complete ritual script on http://druid.meetup.c....

*an Eisteddfod is a sharing of creative talents. Bring a poem or song as an offering!
We hope to see you then!
Blessings!
Persephone and Moss...
We wont be able to make this one, as we'll be in Glastonbury with the
OBODies celebrating at Chalice Well.
We'll hold you all in our hearts!
May the season bring gifts of love, laughter, and joy to each of you.
West (and Katy Grace)
PS - Moss, I'd still like to try to connect re: the banner. Perhaps this
weekend?
If it is possible I am looking for a ride to Moss place for the ritual andI live by North seattle community college. The snow and cold is too much to take the bus.
Thanks Marcia

A definition of "ALBAN ARTHAN" in the meeting write up would be useful, especially for a barbarian (uninitiated) Celt like me.
