Hedge School Workshop: Listening with Heart, Soul and the Tarot

11:30am-1:00pm

What happens if, during a Tarot reading, the inquirer does most of the talking while the reader simply remains receptive with acceptance and compassion? Stories are told, heart connections are made and sacred attendance emerges between two people. Drawn from the concepts of compassionate listening, companioning and honoring the spirit of others, this unique, interactive Tarot workshop turns the table, coaching readers to ask the questions, allowing querents to be heard and reach their own resolutions. This session is for all compassionate people: Tarot readers, counselors, companions, or anyone with a desire to create heart and soul kinships with others.

Take aways were concrete and practical steps to take for listening. Realized really listening goes against the frantic pace we are asked to keep, and got tips on how to walk both paths. I think I'll be able to listen more with the heart, with authenticity. See that often surface problems only mask the critical issues and listening this way can help everyone step closer to root causes. Wished the class was longer with 2 or 3 longer exercises.
