About twenty showed up and nearly all of them drummed. Plenty of big drums--even two full sets of dun duns--on opposite sides of the circle--which made for a little muddy-ing of the groove. The owner of one set is now moving off to Colorado so that probably won't be an issue again. Put a mike on a pair of large digeradoos for some down under ambience. Made rent so we are going ahead with a full winter schedule of First Saturdays. In the vote for the favorite of the set of twelve lava lamps, orange won.

These jams have always been free and "no pressure" regarding donations, but when we are indoors, we have a modest rent to make. If you cannot contribute, just close your eyes and imagine dropping a dollar into the donation drum. Just that act by itself WILL make a difference, believe me!

I put down the rent money for this jam to be indoors Oct 5th. (I know last month we had discussed doing it outdoors. When Saturday rolls around--cold and wet--you will be glad I did!!!) Come on out and share your energy to keep this jam going through the winter. If you can't make it, close your eyes, click your heels together three times and send your good vibes remotely!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
