  • SOAL HOUSE 'Loft'

Drum circle for the development of Djembe drum skills, learning new and innovative drum rhythms.

Thursday nights from 7 to 9 pm.

Focus: fun, self-expression, support, and connection. Let the drumming empower you!

We ask that you leave your EGO at the door....drum circles are not performance groups nor platforms for competition. Drumming with others on a a level playing field makes us all feel good, reduces stress and helps us connect with community.

Drum Circle Etiquette is strictly observed. (See Pages above) Anyone unable to adhere to these rules will be asked to leave the circle.

Bring a djembe or any other percussion instruments you'd like to play providing they compliment the drumming.

Age:  16+ years of age welcome

Note: Circle meets on the top floor of the SOAL Mansion (3 flights of stairs) to an amazing, sacred space.  If you require help with your instruments please let me know and someone will be happy to assist you.

% of donations goes toward helping owners of SOAL House develop this beautiful heritage site as a hub for local musicians and artists.

This Drum circle is a safe haven to make new OR renew old friendships from the former WHYTE NOISE drum circle-a perfect venue to continue building our drum community. SOAL HOUSE 'loft' has the ambience of a welcome living room w/soft lighting & sweet smells. It is the former home of Mayor William Sheppard,Strathcona (1912) the year the Mansion was built. It is becoming a hub of Art,Healing & a B n B for weary travellers. (See facebook events page You'll find it is an original architectural marvel..where we are asked to respect the ambience of the home. Upon entering the front door(walk-in) you will see an ornate staircase leading you to the 'LOFT'.... & an environment conducive for workshops, drum circles etc. Drum vibrations,(conducive to the environment) carry throughout the house adding to the overall milieu of healing. There is no fear of playing too loud. You are invited to bring a percussion instrument and enjoy this alluring, aesthetic & remedial home.
    Drum,dance & just let go!

I have a few extra drums if you don't have your own. I charge a small fee for wear and tear, until you can get your own.
