A llittle over two years ago a small idea was planted and a new drum circle was born. That small idea has grown in to Arizona's largest continuous drum circle. The Wagon Wheel businesses and community have been fantastic hosts. Each month they provide fire pits, benches, chairs and great space for everyone to enjoy. The Arizona Rhythm Connection provides extra drums and Frank Thompson facilitates the grooves.
This drum circle is family friendly and has taken on a life of its own. It has been featured in numerous newspaper articles and television spots.

The energy, size and fun at this circle keeps growing. This is community drumming at it's best. The circle is much more than drums. All hand percussion instruments are welcome and are given a chance to be heard. It is amazing to hear flutes, didgeridoos, shakers, bells, bodrans, tambourines and even bagpipes play together!
And if the music is not enough, there is always dancing! The circle has become a wonderful place for bellydancers and others to celebrate thier artistry and moves.
But wait, there's more! The circle is also a wonderful place to see the fire spinners twisting and twirling with fire.
Thanks to everyone who helps to make the Burning Bush-First Friday-AZ Rhythm Connection Drum Circle a great event. Here are a couple of comments from previous attendees:
" Safe -- family-friendly -- accepting of any experience level (including "none"...!) -- infectious energy -- great location -- wonderful co-ordinators !"

" Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming! I was able to drum and enjoy myself, watch the fire spinners and relax and unwind! I loved watching the little kids dance and seeing them smile! I'm sure it's a great way for them to get out and do something with their parents. I hope this keeps on growing and growing and I hope to meet more people along the way. "
