Rhythymical Alchemy Playshop with Arthur Hull

Escape the everyday world to play in Arthur’s one-of-a-kind musical sandbox. In the Rhythmical Alchemy Playshop™ our rhythm community builds as we play, sing, dance, and drum together. We will create musical fun in a nurturing place by exploring expressive activities such as musical ice-breakers, rhythm-play, hand drumming, drum-circle consciousness, vocal games, songs, and theater improvisation.
This experiential retreat invites people of all ages and backgrounds into a playful and safe environment to explore the power of rhythm and drumming in our lives. You will experience the following:
•Rhythm and percussion skills as you touch, feel, listen, and express yourself with drums, whistles, chimes, gongs, bells, wood, metal, and more.
•Musical improvisation using a great variety of instruments, including body-music, vocals, and group drumming.
•Leading and following while playing in the groove.
•Learning to use pitch dynamics, timbre discrimination, and tempo variations in interactive group rhythm games.

This family friendly, experiential retreat invites people of all ages and backgrounds into a playful and safe environment to explore the power of rhythm and drumming in our lives. No prior music or drumming experience is needed, though experienced drummers will love it too. The “playfully challenged” are especially welcome. We will create beautiful music together. Sons and daughters are welcome for 1/2 your fee for the first child, 1/3rd for the second child, and 1/4th for the rest. When you register, we’ll give you a list of things to bring, including your playful spirit.
This experiential playshop will provide about 15 hours of rhythmical exploration,
practice, and fun! Learn innovative techniques and inspirational activities you can take home and share with your community. Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) may be available, depending on your profession.

He has inspired a grass-roots world-wide movement from diverse cultures and backgrounds that uses rhythm and joy to improve human interaction. He is a gifted percussionist and a witty and humorous leader who inspires full, enthusiastic participation. He will be joined by the excellent Massachusetts drumming teachers Morwen and Jimi Two Feathers. We welcome them with open arms and hearts.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
