Gershon Bialer is the founder of Raydash, which makes it easy to add live video chat to your website. After struggling to add live video to websites, he realized there had to be a better way. He has been working hard to make it easier to add customizable live video and video chat to your website.

7:00 - Presentation: Anna Kalata - Git for Beginners

The Chicago Drupal Meet Up Group is proud to present at least two featured presentations about the hottest Drupal topics each month. We have room for 75 people and all skill levels are welcomed. If you are brand new to Drupal we recommend attending one of our free monthly training workshops.

Anna Kalata will be presenting....Git for Beginners....Interested in understanding the basics of version control? Want to learn how to use Git? Even if you're not checking out source code and rolling patches on, version control is an essential tool for solo projects and collaborative teams. I'll be explaining the general idea of how Git works, and demonstrate how to set it up for yourself or your team. Details on what you'll need to prep on your laptop in order to follow along are forthcoming.

Gershon Bialer will be presenting....Live Video in Drupal....Do you ever want to chat with the users on your Drupal site face-to-face? Do you want the users on your Drupal site to be able to chat with each other? How about broadcasting a live video stream on your Drupal website? Gershon Bialer will be presenting on how to do this. Come learn how to easily work with live video in Drupal.

Packt Publishing sent us a copy of Drupal Intranets with Open Atrium to give away during our meetup.  Book will be randomly given away to one lucky attendee.

Interested in buying the book? Use our group's discount codes, put discount code in the "Enter Promotion Code" box. Discount of 20% on both print and e-book will automatically be activated while making the purchase. These discount codes are valid till 31st March, 2011.

This was my first meetup, where I made some good contacts and learned something. I'll be back.

It was a very good Meetup. The GIT presentation was informative. The "live video on drupal" presentation demonstrated a new innovation. It was a great group; some good questions and answers during the session. Job opening announcements;and a free raffle for a tech book. Great group of guys and one girl went to Dick's Last Resort for refreshments afterward. And last but never least, a big thank you to Duo Consulting for hosting the event.

Great talks, relevant to my interests. Video streaming was a little over my head, but I still enjoyed it.
