Subject: [drupal-15] Drupal won't send mail!

Hi All,

Firstly, let me say that I usually love Drupal!  It's a great platform, and the community is top-notch!  Lately, I'm extremely frustrated, however...

I'm having the worst problem with my latest Drupal 6.10 project failing to send email.  I've built at least a dozen Drupal sites, and have NEVER has any problems with the sites sending email.  The current site I'm building, no matter what I do, refuses to send email.

I've searched the Drupal forums (as well as the net at large) for an answer, but nothing I've tried works.  I've tried the SMTP Support Authentication module, chaning php.ini mail settings, various settings.php code fixes, even messed with the file (I know I shouldn't, but I'm desperate!), and have had no luck!

My server environment is an unusual one: MS Server 2008, upon which I began with Mercury Mail (as part of my XAMPP package), and then used IIS 6, to act as the SMTP server, and neither has worked.  It's not my preferred server setup, but Denver Public Schools has their own private servers upon which they prefer this portal project to be built, so I can't go to the standard public server environment I've used successfully in the past.

If anyone has encountered these types of mail problems in the past and can help me, PLEASE respond.  I've spent a solid 4 days trying to solve this problem, to no avail.  Please email or even call me!  Thanks in advance!

Desperately yours,
