Event FAQs for speakers and attendees
What should I talk about?
We're really keen for any Drupal related talks - they could be technical, design orientated or case studies of interesting or exceptional applications of Drupal. All that we ask is that your talk is not a sales pitch: the event is about sharing knowledge with each other, not trying to sell stuff.
What AV equipment is provided in the room?
There's a projector and a networked Windows PC (no admin user access) in the room. We can also connect any laptops with a standard VGA output to the projector. At the moment we don't have a display adaptor for mac, so if you'd like to present from you mac, please remember to bring an adaptor along. If you don't want to bring any equipment with you, feel free to email your presentation over in advance or bring it on USB stick. **Unfortunately the wireless internet access in the room is NOT very reliable, so please don't depend on it.**
How long should I plan to talk for?
Please plan to talk for around 15 minutes with 5 or 10 minutes for questions afterwards. Having said this, we want the Show and Tell evening to be a relaxed affair, so we're not going to cut you off if you go a *few* minutes over.
How can I find the Keyworth Building?
The event is held in the Keyworth building at Southbank Univerisity. If you're coming by tube to Elephant & Castle, head for the the exit marked Southbank University. When you get above ground turn right and walk along London Road. After about 80 yards you'll cross a blue painted cycle lane with a Boris bike rack next to it. Take a right here down Ontario street, then the first left. The Keyworth building is glass fronted and on your right. Come through the revolving doors and take a lift to the 8th floor.
