Join us for a review of two new Drupal applications at Turner Sports: live event blogging and a photo contest. See how Drupal helped shorten the development timeline for these applications. Topics covered will include using CCK and node reference for a more robust taxonomy, exploring the many splendors of Views, creating a moderation queue and workflow, integrating open source technologies at a large company and architecture considerations for high-traffic live events.
Our presenter, Jeff Diecks, has 15 years of experience in web sports media and technology including Turner, CNN/Sports Illustrated and Major League Soccer. Jeff's teams have managed applications that have spiked to over 20 million page views in a single day, and we've crashed plenty of sites and servers along the way.
