Build. Launch. Run your Drupal site in Pantheon

Three words have changed how Drupal web sites get delivered.

3: RUN

You can now have a 3-Stage development process and a screaming fast website without breaking the bank. Developers are happy, DevOps are happy, accounting is happy. Most of all, your website’s users are happy because they can get to the content they want quickly.

In this talk, Pantheon Developer Advocate Cal Evans will walk us through setting up a site on Pantheon’s platform. Together we will:

*  Spin up a site quickly
*  Properly manage the code in our sites
*  Perform pre-launch checks to ensure a seamless launch
*  Use the one-click workflow tools to move your content easily between environments

About our speaker:
At the tender age of 14, Cal Evans touched his first computer, a TRS-80 Model-1. Since then his life has never been the same. Fastforward.  For the past 13 years Cal has worked with PHP and MySQL on Linux, OSX, and Windows. He has built projects ranging in size from simple web pages to multi-million dollar web applications.

When not banging his head on his monitor, attempting a blood sacrifice to get a particular piece of code working, he enjoys building and managing development teams using his widely imitated but never patented management style of “management by wandering around”.  He works on projects like CoderFaire, and speaks at conferences around the world on topics ranging from technical talks to motivational talks for developers. If you happen to meet him at a conference, don’t be afraid to buy him a shot of Bourbon.

Cal is based in Nashville TN.  You can follow him on his websites:;;; or on Twitter:  @CalEvans

Please feel free to suggest questions for Cal in the comments section on ("... join the conversation").

Note:  Seating at Matrix is limited to 60 RSVPs.  If there is a lot of early interest, we might try to arrange for a larger space.  Please check back if there are any updates.  .

We will have food and refreshment sponsored by LEHAN Partners.  Thanks also to our sponsors  Matrix Resources for the meeting our and to TRC Professional Solutions for helping with organization and planning.
