CADUG - Advanced Drupal Meet Up!

Getting to the Nerdery

Closest el stops are either the Morgan or Ashland stops on the Pink/Green line (bout a 8 minute walk).  It's a slightly longer walk (15min) from the Chicago blue line stop.  We're about 8 minutes away from either the 65 stop at Grand and Racine or the 9 stop at Ashland and Fulton.

How to get into Suite 300 N Elizabeth St Suite 500C: The main door is under a black awning that says "Fulton" or something like that.  Come in the door.  It should be unlocked.  There will be a security guard.  We can give him a list of people and he can check them off.  Once done with that, hop in the slow elevator and come up to the 5th floor.  We're the office on the left once you get off.  We can just prop that door open so people get get in.  Otherwise it autolocks after 5, so if we close the door, people will have to knock.  The meeting space is right inside so you should be able to hear any knocking.

Lightning Talks

Attendees are encourage to present for 10 minutes on a topic of their choosing. Show off a recent project, get audience feedback for your next big idea, demo a cool new module, give a marketing case study or just talk about anything else Drupal related. No slides or presentation skills are required.  Short yet informative talks are the goal.

Advanced Drupal Discussions

We encourage Drupalists of all levels to get together for open-ended discussions.  Members are encouraged to bring their ideas, questions, and other anecdotes to the table. The meetup typically covers a myriad of advanced Drupal related topics during these informal "BoF" type sessions.

To bad I can't be there, the Nerdery is fun. Also, got a lead on a full-time contract, back end Drupal dev position opening in large company on Evanston. They are implementing a site migration/rebuild. If you are interested, let me know and I will forward you on to the appropriate party.

Looking forward to meeting with the Drupal Community in Chicago. I do a little bit of everything in IT and want to improve my Drupal skills.
