Learn More Drush, from Official Maintainer

  • Aug 18, 2014 · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

We have the rare opportunity to experience Drush from one of its co-maintainers Greg Anderson.  Greg will be in Auckland for one night only and is willing to show us his bag of Drush tricks.

If you do not know what Drush is or are not using it, you should.  Drush is a command-line shell and scripting interface for Drupal, a veritable Swiss Army knife designed to make life easier for those who spend their working hours hacking away at the command prompt.

Thank you to Sparks Interactive for the venue and the pizza.

Feel free to bring drinks to share.

Presentation starts at 7pm.  There will be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion.

Thanks again for coming Greg. I know most of us kiwi's are quite shy but I'm sure we appreciate it a lot.

Thanks to everyone who came out to see the Drush talk. I had a great time meeting you all, and enjoyed sharing information about Drush as well. Glad to hear that most people learned some new things and found the presentation valuable. I have put the slides for the presentation online at http://www.drush.org/resources; it's currently the first link under "Articles and Videos". I have also pushed some new code to drush_iq tonight; keep watching that project for future announcements, as I believe a stable release won't be too far off. Finally, I have made to PRs to the Drush project as a result of conversations I had in Auckland and Wellington: https://github.com/drush-ops/drush/pull/765 and https://github.com/drush-ops/drush/pull/766. Thanks again, it was great to see you all.

Nothing has made me so command line happy, as Drush. Truth.
